New York City FC have so far been met with resistance in their hopes of signing Christian Pulisic, but they are not going to give up.
La Gazzetta dello Sport recall that the good news from the USA’s defeat to Turkey in their final group game was Pulisic’s return. He came off the bench after suffering a calf injury in the first match against Paraguay, which forced him to miss game two against Australia.

An ovation in California
The iconic image came in the 58th minute of the match against the Turks, when the ball went out and the fourth official called for a substitution: everyone stood up for the return of the prodigal son, a gigantic ovation.
Such a great display of affection was also the result of the anticipation of the last few days, tinged with a bit of anxiety. After all, it was Pulisic’s first appearance since June 12th, when he left the match against Paraguay at half-time with a troublesome calf injury.
Thus, from the moment Pulisic returned to the pitch, the match against Turkey completely changed tone. Single-handedly, he created three chances: one saved by Çakır, another hitting the post, and finally coming close to a screamer.
In short, he restored quality, pace, and unpredictability to an attack that until then had struggled to find openings. More than anything, he immediately erased any doubts about his physical condition. The missed week of training and the absence against Australia haven’t affected his energy level.
The transfer market buzz that continues to surround Pulisic during the World Cup. The interest of New York FC – a club that would allow him to return home with the resources of the all-powerful City Group – are in the background.
That interest and the Rossoneri’s push to keep him in Milan don’t seem to distract him from his dream of going very far in the World Cup on home soil. Only once it is done will decisions be made one way or another.

If he has a good game against Bosnia some European teams will start making offers after the WC.
Need to cash in this summer, based on world cup 55-80 mil.
Same with Leao. Time for a total fresh start.
Pulisic will not go to MLS at this time in his career. He wants Champions League Football. Period.
Roma is a possibility. Great Coach, building a
Champions League Winner.
