Last night, Christian Pulisic’s USA progressed to the World Cup Round of 16 on home soil with a 2-0 win against Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It was a monumental night for the US Men’s National Team as they advanced through the World Cup to the traditional knockout stage. Indeed, they are now three games away from the final, and whilst they may not be expected to get there, it has undeniably brought a new wave of fans in the country.

Indeed, that means a new audience and Milan could benefit by having their crown jewel, Pulisic.
Pulisic’s numbers
However, the winger was not massively involved last night, as they beat Bosnia 2-0. He had one shot, made 23/27 passes and failed to register a key pass – or anything else really of note. With 3/7 successful duels, you’d say his biggest impact was in the duels, where he won 8/13.
Not his finest match, but certainly not his worst.
The American also earned a slightly above-average score of 6/10 from ESPN in their post-match report, which is fair considering he didn’t do too much of note.
“Generating attacks on the right meant Pulisic had a quiet start but did have moments when he threatened.
“When the U.S. went down to 10 players, that’s when he was active with his efforts to slow down Bosnia-Herzegovina whenever play shifted to the left while being involved in those gradual counterattacks.”
Pulisic spent most of his time doing defensive work, however, that doesn’t seem to count that much is football??? If he wasn’t playing well Poch would have replaced him much earlier.
He also drove by defenders several times but was pulled down and no cards were given. It was difficult for the US to play free flowing football with the number of fouls committed that should have been carded. Fouls not being carded is just not my opinion, even the Guardian live stream pointed this out. The ref was poor
