Pulisic stresses importance of a ‘good haircut’ and shows off Italian – video

By Oliver Fisher -

Christian Pulisic has claimed that a good haircut helps him feel more confident on the field, while he also showed off a little bit of his Italian.

The Milan winger took part in a video shoot for Volkswagen as part of his duties with the US Men’s National Team, of whom they are a sponsor, and he took on a number of trick shot challenges.

For each attempt he didn’t get in, he had the ‘forfeit’ of answering a question about some things away from the football field, such as a little thing that helps his confidence.

“I think a good haircut is underrated. Sometime when you look good, you play good,” he said.

After failing to dink the ball through the window, he revealed that he always carries his ‘lucky keychain’ with him. Then, he was asked for the Italian for ‘little thing’ and his answer of ‘cose piccole’ was close enough.

  1. Little things that give you confidence on the pitch: Not having Thomas Tuchel screaming on the sidelines, “No, NO!” while you attack the goal.

  2. Volkswagen is a sponser of US Soccer, and thus, the USMNT and USWNT, but Pulisic has his own personal deal with Volkswagen as a brand ambassador, and so this is probably a film shoot for his endorsement of Volkswagen and not related to the USMNT deal.
