Christian Pulisic has admitted that he got a bit of a kicking against Udinese, but it didn’t stop him virtually single-handedly winning the game.

Pulisic was the star of the show, as was reflected with the Player of the Match award he got from Lega Serie A. He scored the first goal just before the break, firing home a loose ball inside the box after a parry from Sava in the Udinese goal.
Just after the break Youssouf Fofana netted the second of the night after some hustle from the American to win the ball back. Then, Pulisic’s first-time finish a few minutes later made sure of the points.

“I’m fine, I took a beating everywhere. I’m very happy with this victory.”
Is this starting to look like Allegri’s idea of Milan?
“Coming here isn’t easy. We’re very solid at the back and we do well defensively with five men.”
Can Milan strive for anything?
“We have a great team. Now it’s important to find consistency: it’s important to take it one game at a time.”
How many POTM rewards do you already have at home?
“I don’t know (laughs). Maybe ten. But the important thing is the victory.”
How are Modric and Rabiot helping?
“We have a team with many strong players. Modric and his experience help us a lot. We have to keep it up.”
How many goals do you want to get?
“I don’t know. For me, winning trophies and matches is more important. Goals and assists always come.”

Milan should be pointing out that referee kept his yellow card in his pocket while Udinese employed prison yard tactics against Pulisic at the start of the match. This cannot be allowed going forward. Milan are much more dangerous with Pulisic on the pitch than on the bench due to injury. It was evident that Udinese were targeted him with yellow card worthy fouls and no retaliation from Milan?
