QS: From Scalvini to Retegui – Milan and Inter also competing for four targets

AC Milan and Inter are battling on the field to reach the Champions League final, but they are also competing for four transfer targets as per a report.

Quotidiano Sportivo (via MilanNews) writes on the eve of the second leg of the Euroderby that the Rossoneri and the Nerazzurri have four common transfer market objectives in view of the summer window.

The first player mentioned by the paper is Matei Retegui of Tigre. Both teams are in need of a new centre-forward ahead of next season and could bet on the Italy international, who is expected to make the move over to Europe from Argentina.

Empoli playmaker Tommaso Baldanzi is also on the list of both clubs, though it must be noted he is a boyhood Milan fan and would seemingly be more suited to a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Giorgio Scalvini of Atalanta is a player that both teams admire, though he has a high asking price, and Lois Openda of RC Lens – who has 19 goals in 35 Ligue 1 matches – is also on their list.
