QS: Milan remain in emergency as Pioli will be without six players vs. Cagliari

By Isak Möller -

Despite the signing of Soualiho Meite, who will give the midfield a big hand, the emergency is far from over for Milan with regards to the injuries. A total of six players should miss the game against Cagliari on Monday.

As highlighted by the newspaper QS (via MilanNews), it will be another test for Stefano Pioli and his men as several key players will miss the game, such as Ismael Bennacer (injured), Rafael Leao (suspended) and Ante Rebic (COVID).

Matteo Gabbia is still recovering from his knee injury and will also miss out, as well as Rade Krunic who has COVID. Alexis Saelemaekers could make it back in time but his presence is very uncertain, even on the bench.

The game is scheduled for 20:45 CET on Monday evening and in case of a win, the Rossoneri will be crowned the winter champions of Serie A. Depending on Inter-Juve, they might not even need a win.
