AC Milan head coach Massimiliano Allegri might have to make a further change to his team for the game against Fiorentina, with Adrien Rabiot not at his best.
Milan head into tonight’s game at the Stadio Artemio Franchi in need of a win for various reasons, above all because Inter – who moved three points clear at the top after the results in midweek – host Napoli at San Siro later.

Rabiot in doubt
According to a report from Sky’s Peppe Di Stefano (via MilanNews), Rabiot isn’t fully fit and is at risk of missing out against Fiorentina. The French midfielder’s condition will be reassessed by the Rossoneri medical staff this morning following a minor knock.
In his place during today’s training session, Allegri tried out Samuele Ricci on the left of the midfield three. However, it will be up to Rabiot to decide whether or not he is well enough to play against Fiorentina, along with the staff of course.
If he does recover in time, he’ll play alongside Ardon Jashari and Ruben Loftus-Cheek. The other news on the line-up concerns the left wing-back role, where Davide Bartesaghi will be rested, and the summer signing Pervis Estupinan will take his place.

The article you have linked to in the content does not suggest Jashari and RLC in midfield.
It was suggesting Ricci was already in the line-up replacing Modric.
Fofana, Ricci, Rabiot
Something doesn’t add up. 🤔
If we can’t beat a Genoa side, 17th place, fighting for relegation with modric in the side, we ain’t winning, no.1 the lack of depth, no.2 the lack of leadership off the field. The only reason milan are in second is because of allegri the only reason.
Yeah it looks like it. Also we don’t have rabiot within the team on the field. But it comes back to the coach if he can pull this things up.
Are ALL milan players made of cottonwool? One by one they are hurt, sick, injured, tired ……
And the funniest one …. resting bartesaghi who is only 20 years old because he played six or seven matches in a row!!!!! How much will he need to rest when he is 30? One match yes, one match no???
it is a matter of growth. it is the same for any team sport.
when you are young it is more difficult to play matches in short succession because you cannot manage your physical strength/condition yet. you can go full speed and then suddenly you do not have the strength to continue because you already spent everything you have.
as you get older and more experience you learn to manage your body better.
it is easier for a more experienced player to manage playing 2 matches a week than a teenager.
bartesaghi could play every game as long as we played 1 game per week. he can handle that.
but he does not know yet how to handle playing every 3 days
