Adrien Rabiot has reassured the AC Milan fans that there are no plans to leave the club as things stand, ready to start his pre-season with the team after some vacation.
Rabiot and Mike Maignan’s journey in the World Cup came to an end last night. However, instead of clinching a bronze medal, they lost the game to England 4-6 (!) after a very poor second half. A blow for them, of course, even if reaching the final was the true goal.

In recent weeks, there have been some rumours about the future of Rabiot, with some suggesting that he could consider a Milan exit. However, speaking to DAZN after the game (via MilanNews), the Frenchman reassured the Rossoneri fans regarding the future.
Are you ready to return to Milan after the holidays?
“First the holidays. We have been waiting for this since we lost to Spain. Then it was a really difficult few days mentally, it was hard to concentrate on playing this match. A well-deserved holiday, we need to rest well.”
Are you starting over with Milan when you get back?
“Yes, obviously, then we will talk to the coach and Mike (Maignan), we will get in touch. We wanted to be calm during the World Cup and not be disturbed by other things. Now there will be time to talk calmly.”
Have you already spoken to your future coaches, Amorim at Milan and Zidane at France?
“No, I haven’t spoken to anyone, as I said before, but we will definitely talk to Amorim. Nothing’s official about Zidane; I don’t know if he will be the next coach. Would I be happy with him? Of course, but apart from that, I just want to enjoy my holidays.”
Rabiot and Maignan will both join the team at Milanello on August 12, so they will have quite a lot of time to rest up and come back even stronger. This means that they will miss almost all of the pre-season friendlies, though, which is a shame.

Judging the writer’s name, probably he is native to german language. I think we would like to translate from German expression “Schade…” and imo “unfortunate” or “too bad” (for Milan that they will be able to join later) would be better English word for it than “shame”. Schade can mean those words

Shame meaning pity, too bad, unfortunate(ly), regrettably etc.
He will miss almost all the friendlies so less time to adapt to new formation, new teammates, which is not ideal for preparation. Hence the “which is a shame”

Sure, man, break your legs for the bronze medal, don’t even think about getting back to your club, take a three months vacation while you are at it.
Rabiot is already match fit and needs a rest. Good that he is likely staying. probably Milan’s best player.
Third place game was very entertaining but completely unnecessary other than for FIFA to make more money.
