Radio Kiss Kiss: Milan and Napoli competing for Atlanta United sensation

AC Milan have been credited with interest in signing Atlanta United forward Thiago Almada along with Napoli ahead of the summer window.

As reported by the Naples-based Radio Kiss Kiss (via PianetaMilan), Napoli are keen on signing Almada who became a world champion during the winter with Argentina in Qatar, but they face competition from Milan.

The Rossoneri management have also begun negotiations to try and get some information which means we could see a new duel between Napoli and Milan, this time in the transfer market.

Olivier Giroud has officially renewed his contract for another season, but he is the only guarantee of the attacking department and he will turn 37 this year. Zlatan Ibrahimovic continues to suffer with injuries while Divock Origi cannot hit his stride.

For this reason, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara are expected work on freshening up the forward department during the summer transfer market.

The 21-year-old has played 37 times for Atlanta in the MLS, amassing 11 goals and 12 assists. He joined them from Velez Sarsfield in Argentina, where he had 24 goals and 10 assists in 100 games.
