Louis Vuitton owner Bernard Arnault is serious about the idea of buying AC Milan, one journalist claims, while Zlatan Ibrahimovic is close to a return.
It has been claimed in the past that Arnault – who has a net worth of $102bn (as per Wikipedia) – is interested in buying the Rossoneri from current owners Elliott Management.
Denials came from the Louis Vuitton group, but yet more rumours then emerged claiming Arnault is still interested in the idea of buying Milan, and then unsurprisingly even more denials arrived.
On Tuesday, La Repubblica went big with a report claiming that Arnault is in talks over the idea of a Milan takeover, and that he has set his sights on Pep Guardiola as head coach and signing Lionel Messi, with Jurgen Klopp and Kylian Mbappe the respective alternatives.
A fresh round of denials has not yet arrived, and Paolo Paganini of Rai Sport has posted a tweet to provide an update on the speculation, suggesting it is more than just rumours this time.
“The winds that blow from the nearby France towards Liguria say that the Arnault group is getting serious and Ibrahimovic is close to Milan.”
