Raiola cryptic regarding future of Donnarumma and Ibrahimovic: “I see a sunny future”

The agent of AC Milan duo Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Gianluigi Donnarumma – Mino Raiola – has commented on the futures of his two clients.

Milan are 23 games without defeat in the league, having scored in 31 consecutive Serie A games, and the impact that the aforementioned duo have had cannot be understated.

Both continue to surprise because of their age: the Swede is the joint-top scorer in Serie A despite being 39, while Donnarumma continues to rack up appearances having now played in Serie A for half a decade despite being just 21.

However, both are on contracts which are set to expire at the end of the season, meaning there is somewhat of a race against time to resolve their futures.

Speaking to Italia, Raiola discussed Ibrahimovic’s future before going on to do the same for the goalkeeper.

“Ibra is a Banksy. He is someone who never ceases to amaze you. While you think that you are walking on a normal road, a Banksy appears,” he said (via MilanNews).

“I was pleased that Pioli was able to convince him, because if Pioli hadn’t made it, it would have been done. He can’t stop because I won’t let him. A player like that is a shame for football to make him stop. He knows he must continue for a couple of years, and if it’s not for himself it’s for me.”

On Donnarumma: “I see a sunny future for Donnarumma. The sun is all over the place and the important thing is that it exists.”
