Raiola heaps praise on Ibrahimovic and aims jab at Milan: “He’s 90% of that team”

Ever since his arrival in January, Zlatan Ibrahimovic has helped Milan grow a lot and is certainly a key man behind the recent success. By the looks of it, he could even stay with the Rossoneri for one more season.

The 39-year-old has scored eight goals in five leagues appearances, putting him at the top of the top goalscorers chart. For a player of his age, it’s certainly extraordinary, especially considering he missed a few games due to COVID-19.

Mino Raiola, his agent, is delighted with the situation and spoke about it in an interview with Dutch outlet de Volkskrant. Of course, he took the opportunity to aim a jab at Milan, as you would expect from him.

“I’ll keep him playing football. Until he leaves the field with a stretcher. He can continue until he’s 50, but he only wants to play at the highest level. He can continue for the time being. You see it right? He resuscitated all of Milan, he’s 90% of that team,” he said.

Certainly, Ibrahimovic has been very important but the Rossoneri have also won without him on the pitch. Stefano Pioli deserved a lot of credit for creating a proper team, which can overcome hard obstacles and perform without key players.
