Gianluca Di Marzio believes that Goncalo Ramos is a name to watch out for in AC Milan’s pursuit of a new centre-forward.
Massimiliano Allegri and the management are building towards year two of their project together, and it will be crucial for Milan to add at least two new attackers to their squad. It’s no secret that a striker is the club’s top priority, as it has been for many years now it feels.

There have already been countless names linked for the number nine position, from upcoming free agents Dusan Vlahovic and Robert Lewandowski to potential investments like Moise Kean and Alexander Sorloth. More recently, a new name has emerged, someone Rafael Leao knows well.
Ramos a possibility for Milan and Juventus
Gianluca Di Marzio spoke to Caffé Di Marzio – a football transfer podcast in collaboration between the journalist himself and TuttoMercatoWeb – about the idea of an Italian club signing a player from PSG or Bayern Munich.
“I see a Gonzalo Ramos in PSG who didn’t even come on the other night and who has little to do with Luis Enrique’s philosophical and tactical system,” he said.
“It’s true that when Gonzalo Ramos comes on during certain matches he has also been decisive in winning the European Super Cup, for example, but Goncalo Ramos could be leaving.
“His agent Jorge Mendes is moving to find different solutions where his client could perhaps be a starter next season and is talking about it with Italian teams and beyond. [He is] A name for AC Milan or Juventus if Vlahovic doesn’t stay or Kolo Muani doesn’t return.
“In short, if we have to fish from PSG-Bayern we can only delude ourselves into thinking we can have an Italian team with some of the key players from that match, and we can only draw from those who didn’t play from the start, but it would still be a good draw.”

Ideal way is to bring Gonçalo Ramos on loan with option buy and Sorloth with cash down. Don’t put all eggs in a single basket. If Ramos don’t adapt in our team we have Sorloth. If both of them plays good , we can use them together.
That would imply moving away from wingers and maybe using a 10. End of Puli and Leao?
With 4 games to go it is clear we have already moved away from wingers.
Leao and Puli gone is a sizeable war chest to reload for a UCL calendar. Not terribly happy about it as I’d rather see a 4231, 433 or even a 343 or 3421, but Allegri is the horse we hitched the wagon to.
Why and how would that imply moving away from (the) wingers? We need two new strikers meaning some of them could/would be a backup 9, not to mention we already play without wingers this whole season. In other words, we’ve moved away from (the) wingers some nine months ago, right?
Milan need two strikers. I love the ideal of Sorloth.
