Yesterday, AC Milan battered Manchester United in their final pre-season game in Poland. Ruben Amorim had plenty to be happy with, indeed.
It doesn’t take much for Milan fans to be left impressed with the final game of the pre-season campaign. After all, they had not won this summer until yesterday. So, ending with a drubbing of a Champions League team is only a good thing.

There are still a few things that must be solved moving forward, as you’d expect, but it is clear that Amorim’s side are progressing on the right lines. What matters is that the Portuguese is aware of this, as he stated in his post-match press conference yesterday.
The highlights
The Rossoneri didn’t start brilliantly, falling behind two minutes into the game from a preventable set-piece goal. Nevertheless, they were not out of it for long, with Samuel Chukwueze finding the back of the net around the half-hour mark.
United took the lead again early in the second half, but it was Alphadjo Cisse who levelled for the Diavolo this time. Then, goals from Goncalo Ramos – his first for the Diavolo – and Ruben Loftus-Cheek sealed a positive win.

Sell Maignan and use that money to buy a defender. Terraciano was probably under a lot of stress and making childish errors. Sell him, Musah. May be keep Tomori as a sub. The way Amorim alienate players make it more difficult to get a proper transfer fee

That ‘Bitpanda’ tramp stamp at the back ruins it completely. For me though it’s the socks, the black socks with all those hoops…couldn’t they just keep it simple ffs, simply just black socks.
It will take a lot more to convince me that this team can finish in the top four but at least there were a lot of positives.
1. The result: A win is a win and brings confidence. It is also nice for Amorim to beat his former club.
2. The performance: Good in the offensive phase but too many errors in defense and midfield.
3. Ramos: Like Modric and Rabiot, he seems to be a level above the others; good vision, good decision making, aerial threat, and can contribute outside the penalty box.
4. Jashari: A good confidence-boosting performance from him. Young players will only improve if they are given time and allowed to make mistakes.
5. Torriani and Cisse: Similar to Jashari but we need to keep our expectations realistic. The haven’t played much top-flight football. Cisse is coming back from a big injury and needs time before he can be braver on the ball. Torriani had a great game but he is not yet at the level Donnarumma was when he started for the first team. The fact that he is improving every game is very promising though and he probably should start Coppa Italia and Europa League games.
6. RLC: Remember, he was brought in to be a midfielder but hasn’t had a good game there since we played PSG in his first season. When Pioli eventually made him a pseudo second striker, he has done okay so I’m not surprised. My issue is it hasn’t worked consistently nor against better opposition and people are expecting this to change in his fourth season here. I am rooting for him but I am not getting my hopes up.
Overall, the man who impressed me the most was Ramos, but I need to see a lot more from everyone else to be optimistic about this season.
No mention of Chuku who was very good i thought.
Right about Ramos and Jashari both were very good and should contribute a lot this year.
