AC Milan have begun contacts with the representatives of 19-year-old Bayer Leverkusen forward Paulinho, a report claims.
Paulinho is a player that Rangnick will know as Leipzig have been linked. He tends to play as a left winger but can also play behind the strikers, and the 19-year-old a combined four goals and assists in 12 outings for the Bundesliga side this term.
According to a report from 90min – who cite La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Nicolo Schira – the appointment of Rangnick is ‘ inching ever closer’ and as a result the Rossoneri have made contact with the entourage of Paulinho.
The deal ‘would be welcomed by Rangnick’, who wants to build a young and fast side capable of carrying out his idea of intense, high-pressing football.
There have only been contacts made between the two parties and nothing further, but Milan could step up interest in the Brazilian in the coming weeks.
