Their wishes could not be more different. Austria have a contract on the table for Rangnick to sign and are hoping for a confirmation of his loyalty, whilst the Rossoneri are hoping that he will lead their new project.

Due to the summer’s events, he cannot do both. Instead, he would have to choose, though he could head to Casa Milan after the World Cup.
It is a difficult situation for both to be a part of. Yet, neither are any closer to ending that situation.
Rangnick’s decision date
As Gazzetta dello Sport writes, he is between two parties which he is very fond of. The idea of overseeing the Milanese rebuild is an exciting one, but as he stated in a press conference this week, “It’s no secret that I feel very good with Austria”.
In other words, he does not feel the pressure of picking, but rather saying no to the other. So, this is why a decision is taking so long.
Saying that, Austria are hoping for a decision before the 16th, when they will face Jordan in their first World Cup game. The Rossoneri could have also made their decision by then. So, it seems like a 12-day deadline is in place…
That’s too long without a question, he should be given a shorter deadline to make up his da*ned mind, six or seven days at most.

It is unprofessional to create extra pressure for your team because you didn’t make a decision on time. Does your national team have to read the news about their manager maybe leaving after the World cup? He should have resolved this by 10th of June. He will either leave or not after World cup, and have everyone know what will happen. That would be professional, whatever the decision.

Who? The Austrian FA is wating on the response of contract extension for how long? I saw they offered it before March.
So you are suggesting we should just relax and wait another month or even until mid-July? Who would wait that long? That is totally unacceptable.
