Last night, Inter were crowned champions of Serie A again and former defender Andrea Ranocchia has explained why.
If Sunday couldn’t have been any worse for AC Milan, Inter won the late kick-off and were crowned champions of Serie A for the 21st time. It had been coming for a while, but the pain and frustration were still there.
It is difficult to watch things on one side of the city go as they are – and more importantly, continue to do so – whilst the Rossoneri struggle to put together any real competition. Even a Champions League spot is being made incredibly difficult.
Of course, the two clubs are at different stages of their projects. Yet, the difference feels bigger than it has ever been, despite the Nerazzurri being closer than they have been in recent years.
Ranocchi’s simple explanation
After their Scudetto was confirmed, Ranocchia spoke to Pressing (via MilanNews) about why his former team are consistently competing at the top and why the others aren’t.
“There’s one thing that all the teams that finished behind Inter have in common: they don’t have a club and are constantly changing managers.”
Since 2020, Inter have had three coaches, and since 2024, Milan have had three. It says it all.

That and the fact all of them used the same formation and they kept a bunch of core players.
Stability, coherency and consistency is a huge part of gaining success as a football team. Revolutions rarely works and if they do then often only short term.
ranocchia said that cz..
1st he’s a merda
2nd he’s a manager, who don’t want to be sack after season of failure
3rd merda has Mafiarotta who own the league
4th we’ve bankers as sporting decisions maker
5th their biggest rival (us) only aim for UCL spot/ $
It’s a shame if the rival clubs who participate in the competition only intend to be participants or supplementary teams without a strong desire to become champions, that is the mentality of most mediocre teams, but it is indeed appropriate for those of you who are only good at talking.
It starts at the top.
They have Marotta as the shot caller which gives organizational clarity and competence in decision making.
Milan have……we don’t even know who does what at Milan?
What? 😀 What a genius. You mean they pay the player how much is necessary (wages). If Milan had Lautaro and Barella they would be sold 3 years ago.
Oh and Dimarco would be the perfect capital gain sell. 100%.
Ok, the title is a bit misleading. I just read the Italian version and he said that for the clubs behind Inter, not Inter.
Inter would never have sold Tonali and Rejjinders at their best the way Milan did
Under this mgnt, the goal is not to win the first place. strictly speaking, being the first in league is considered a defeat by redbird.
They want to be top 4, every year. lmao
Inter have a 12th man.
Cheating scum.
