AC Milan were close to making it three wins from three to begin the new campaign, but conceded a late equaliser against Juventus.
The first half was not lacking in intensity but came up short in terms of quality. Then, in the second half, the game sprung into life: substitute Alphadjo Cisse opened the scoring with a lovely finish after cutting in on his right, but Federico Gatti’s header earned Juve a draw in added time.

Juventus 1-1 AC Milan: Newspaper ratings
You should of course read our player ratings first, but this morning’s newspapers have delivered their verdict on yet another draw played out between the two great rivals of Italian football.
La Gazzetta dello Sport have given Milan’s overall performance a 6 out of 10, which is the same mark given to Ruben Amorim’s management of the game. The best played was Alphadjo Cisse (7), while they adjudged Alexis Saelemaekers (5) to have struggled.

A 7 was awarded to Mario Gila, with 6.5s going to Mike Maignan, Koni De Winter, Luka Modric and Samuel Chukwueze. Everyone else got a pass but for Diego Moreira, Pervis Estupinan, Adrien Rabiot (5.5s) and Ruben Loftus-Cheek (5).
Corriere dello Sport gave De Winter a 7, which is the same grade they gave the goal scorer Cisse. Praise was dished out to Maignan, Gila, Modric and Chukwueze (6.5s). Pavlovic, Moreira, Rabiot and Loftus-Cheek struggled (5.5), as did Ramos and Saelemaekers (5).
Finally, Tuttosport handed out 5s to Ramos, Rabiot and Moreira. Plaudits instead went to Maignan, Modric and Chukwueze (6.5s) while they were left very impressed by Cisse (7.5). Pavlovic, Musah, Estupinan and RLC got 5.5s, as did the coach Amorim.

It’s funny, bc here we adore De Winter so much. But there The Juventinis said Kolo Muani and other players were just bad and must be sold 😀
It’s almost like football fans massively overreact to small sample sizes and see everything through the tint of their own club…
I wonder how different the ratings would be if Gatti’s header had missed at the end? This whole concept of ‘ratings’ is so massively skewed by the result it renders them pretty ridiculous.
I’m getting a load of headwind now, but here we go. Musah is underrated on this websit’s expert commentators. He does exactly want Amorim; he breaks the lines, runs with the ball and cover a load of ground. He adds a load to the midfield both defensively and in attack, and plays vertical.
Is he flawless? Far from, but he is also only 22 or 23, he is still developing. It is true tha the makes som headless choices, but than is to be expected from a relatively young player.
Goodjudgement comes from experience, experience comes from bad judgement.
He can be a monster in the future.
Read what the same people say about Jashari. He is the future while the younger Musah was sh*t at 21. Explains they have no clue, just what they read in media.
The same Musah that couldn’t get on the field for Atatlanta? The same Musah that couldn’t get a call up for the World Cup? The same Musah that thinks of himself as an attacking mid hence the number 80 with zero goals? The same Musah that every time we are in the opposition’s side of the field he completes a meter pass back to Modrić? But yeah let’s fan boy over two carries into midfield only to pass the ball to the other team.
Fan boy means that you aren’t blind? In that case yes. Using your “logic” nobody would ever sign talented players and develop them. He is 23. Imagine, he was worse at 21 and has improved. Instead of harassing a player try being objective.
Exactly. By his logic player are born readymade and if they are not perfect in their early 20´s sell them.
By this logic we would never have had a Pirlo og Gattuso, to name two.
What Musah is missing as a player is mental and can relatively easy be fixed IMO. It is mainly defensive awareness and positioning, so decision-making in short.
A combination of a good manager and playing time can fix that.
Amorim should bring in on pulisic than rlc in the 2nd half. Rlc look like no use at the field. Same as ramos, he looks tired in the 2nd half, should camarda play substitute. For musah, he play good game yesterday, remind me about kessie in his position…
