AC Milan are on the hunt for a new sporting director and Igli Tare, formerly of Lazio, is seemingly one of their top targets for next season. As argued by Fabio Ravezzani, they should move quickly to secure his services.
Tare is a well-known figure in Serie A football after making some impressive signings with Lazio, such as Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Ciro Immobile. He has been linked with Milan in the past and the fact his name is being mentioned now is thus no surprise.
Speaking to TMW Radio, as transcribed by MilanNews, the TeleLombardia director Fabio Ravezzani shared his thoughts on the Rossoneri’s sporting director pursuit. He stated that they should opt for Tare instead of Paratici given their track records.
“As an observer, I would say that Tare, with all of the data in hand, has managed to make a team – Lazio – great by spending little, while Paratici managed Juve by spending a lot. With the strategy that Milan has, I would no doubts about who to focus on, namely Tare,” he stated.
It remains to be seen who will be the chosen one, with CEO Giorgio Furlani and owner Gerry Cardinale expected to discuss the matter in New York in the coming days. It’s certainly not the only key decision that must be made by the management either.
Anyone can make a team, but we don’t need just any team, we need a winning team. Lazio was not that.
Pioli didn’t have a pre season when milan signed him, yet he deliver the best football in a long while for us
Pioli had almost 3 month mid season break when Milan signed him.
Everyone wants to act like Pioli came in and right away changed everything for the better. Up until the 2+ months stoppage for covid in 2020, Milan under Pioli was just as bad as Milan under Giampaolo. No different than the current situation with Conceição and Fonseca.
Indeed, it only got better when Zlatan arrived. The beginning was awful. 0-5 Atalanta… Why people forget that.
Tare having worked with Lotito for so many years is like baptism by fire. Lotito is no peach.
