RB Leipzig star Sabitzer responds to Milan links: “They can write whatever they want”

By Oliver Fisher -

Marcel Sabitzer has certainly not ruled out the idea of moving from RB Leipzig to AC Milan this summer, but played the question with a straight bat.

Calhanoglu’s move to Inter on a free transfer has created another hole in Stefano Pioli’s squad which must be filled. Pending the resolution of the negotiations for the return of Brahim Diaz from Real Madrid, the Rossoneri now find themselves needing to fill an important gap, namely that of the starting attacking midfielder.

MilanNews recently reported how the first names of the followed profiles have begun to emerge, with Real Madrid’s Dani Ceballos, Marcel Sabitzer of RB Leipzig and Hakim Ziyech of Chelsea mentioned by the reliable outlet.

Sabitzer was asked by Kurier about the speculation that he could join Milan, a year after being linked with the Rossoneri when it seemed Ralf Rangnick was set to become the new manager.

“They can write whatever they want, it doesn’t concern me. These are media games that don’t matter to me at the moment,” he said (via MilanNews).

    1. “Better than Calhanoglu.” doesn’t really mean anything (‘cos who isnt’?). But yeah. Definitely would be a huge upgrade.
