Real Betis director Ramos Planes has admitted that the club would like AC Milan target Juan Miranda to extend his contract but no agreement is in place yet.
Speaking during a press conference on Monday (as per Football Italia), Planes was asked about the future of the left-back who is out of contract at the end of the season and linked with a move to the Rossoneri.
As Milan need a player to act as cover for Theo Hernandez and given that need, they are likely to try and sign him for a small fee in January rather than wait to sign the former Barcelona player on a free transfer in the summer.
Meanwhile, Real Betis are trying to get the player to agree to a new contract as he is an important player who would fetch a high fee if he had longer on his contract.
As Planes explains, they are still working on an agreement: “We’ve been talking for a few weeks to extend his [Miranda’s] contract and continue with Betis. This is the club’s will. We want him to continue. Then it takes the desire of two parties, the club and the player and the club want to extend.”
Don’t need or want him, already got too many foreigners, plenty of Italian talent to choose from
Hope he stays on Spain
They will come with a massive price tag, he’s cheap and has European Football experience.
