This afternoon, Milan Futuro lost by a narrow margin as they travelled to face Real Calepina in Serie D. A missed opportunity, unfortunately.
It is clear that the Milan Futuro side are trying to instantly get back into Serie C, after relegation in their first season. However, it seems more difficult for them to do so at the first time of asking, especially after today.
When facing Real Calepina, they had the chance to overtake fourth placed Casatese Merate, whom they are two points behind. Winning, then, would have meant they took that place.
However, they were unable to do so, with Calepina taking a 1-0 lead on Wednesday afternoon.
Match report
The first half was rather slow at the Campo Sportivo Comunale Libio and the teams headed into half-time goalless. Unfortunately, this theme extended into the second half, meaning it was not the best game of football ever.
15 minutes after the break, though, the hosts took the lead through Oboe. Massimo Oddo demanded his team seek more, but they were unable to do so and have missed a big opportunity to shake up the table.
There is still time left this season to make amends, but it cannot be viewed as a good result for Oddo’s side, especially after last week’s draw.
