Real Madrid man admits to being ‘one more fan’ of Milan: “I miss them a lot”

Brahim Diaz was the star man for Real Madrid last night as he scored their opener against Braga en route to a comfortable victory in the Champions League, and he spoke about AC Milan after the game.

Brahim hasn’t been starting much for Real Madrid since he returned there following the conclusion of his three years on loan at Milan, but last night he was given a rather tough task: replacing Jude Bellingham.

He scored a goal early on that was ruled out for offside, though he did get his name on the scoresheet not too long after to break the deadlock. Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo also scored as Real won 3-0.

The attacking midfielder spoke to Sky after the game and he was asked about his performance as well as his old club Milan, with his comments relayed by Calciomercato.com.

“The goal is worth a lot, for me and for the team, now we have achieved the objective of going through to the next round. I’m happy here, I want to demonstrate what I can do by helping the team,” he said.

“It was a fantastic night. And yesterday it was also for my other team, Milan. I miss them a lot, everyone here helped me and I’m happy, but I always look there and I’m one more fan.

“Ancelotti? He always told me to stay ready, that he has faith in me. When Milan wins we talk about them together.”

El Nacional recently reported that Brahim has interest from Arsenal and Aston Villa in England, but he has made a return to AC Milan his priority if the opportunity were to become available.
