MN: Rebic returns to training and will be available for the derby against Inter

A huge injury boost has arrived for AC Milan ahead of the derby against Inter as Ante Rebic is back in training and will be available.

Heading into today we knew that the condition of Ante Rebic would be under scrutiny as he essentially had to either return to group training or he was very likely to miss out. The Croatian forward was left out of the game against Porto which many though was a positive signal that he would be fit to face the Nerazzurri.

He still trained alone yesterday, but MilanNews have confirmed that this afternoon Rebic trained with the rest of the squad. The 28-year-old will therefore be at Stefano Pioli’s disposal for the derby and will be called up.

He will not have many minutes in his legs given that he has been out since the comeback win against Hellas Verona, but he will be a useful weapon off the bench, especially if Leao runs out of energy given how hard he has had to work recently.
