Giornale: Milan juggling multiple injuries again – latest on Rebic, Calabria, Maignan and Tomori

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli must once again juggle some injury problems just as it looked like a full squad would soon be available.

This morning’s edition of Il Giornale (via MilanLive) writes that Davide Calabria will be out for 2-3 weeks having sustained a muscle problem while on international duty with Italy. He could therefore return to play in some of the crucial games before the Christmas break, with Pierre Kalulu and Alessandro Florenzi ready in his absence.

Ante Rebic suffered an injury in training before the trip to Fiorentina and the Croatian winger has a hamstring problem in his right thigh. He will be out for a month, so Pioli will have to ask Rafael Leao to work overtime unless he comes up with other solutions.

Fikayo Tomori was kept out of the away match against Fiorentina because of inflammation of the obturator muscle in his hip. He missed the game on Saturday and will also miss the match against Atletico Madrid but the hope is to have him back for Milan-Sassuolo on Sunday.

Finally, on Mike Maignan, the French goalkeeper has resumed training but the Rossoneri staff are cautious about his return to the field. He could feature against Sassuolo, depending on if he is 100%.
