Christian Pulisic’s injury has been diagnosed, and Ruben Amorim harbours hopes of him being available in a few weeks.
La Gazzetta dello Sport begin a report by stating that a hairline fracture to the fibula of the right leg doesn’t sound good. The tests revealed that was the extent of Pulisic’s injury, as he was forced off after 52 minutes of the United States vs. Belgium match, the round of 16 match in the World Cup.

His recovery time is estimated at a rather broad three to six weeks, although with the summer in between, Pulisic is likely to be out until the end of August. Milan’s season kicks off on August 23rd against Torino, and it’s too early to know if Pulisic will be available.
At present, he’s unlikely to be back on the pitch as per La Gazzetta, considering he’ll need to regain his fitness after a month and a half’s absence, preceded by a long and challenging season for him.
Torino the aim
MilanNews report that the winger’s program initially includes a rest period, necessary to allow the injury to stabilise. Upon his return, expected in about three weeks, Pulisic will begin his rehabilitation program, which will effectively replace his normal summer training.
Milan’s goal is clear: to have Pulisic back in time for the opening game of the season against Torino at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino, be that as a starter or off the bench.
Ruben Amorim is waiting for him. In his presentation press conference, he spoke highly of his number 11: “Pulisic is truly a very talented player. He got injured at the World Cup, we’ll have to understand, but he’s perfect for the way Italian football is, with teams that defend well.
“He can make the difference with a capital D. I have clear ideas, I’d like to play him on the left with an inverted foot, but also on the other flank. Although I want him between the lines, not with his feet on the line. He’s very important for us.”

Amorim notes something about Pulisic that is special, that he is effective on both sides of the pitch. We have seen him score bangers with either foot.
A question to the group, what player on the team has a matching level of talent with both feet?
Gerry Cardinale, he kicked everyone’s ash out with both feet in one day.
Well said
