TMW: RedBird could add Toulouse president to Milan project – the reasoning

RedBird are constantly looking for ways to improve AC Milan on and off the pitch, which has been proved with the recent reports of off-the-pitch hirings. Today, a report has suggested that the Rossoneri are looking to continue this by evaluating appointing a new CEO.

With the transfer window shut, there is only so much the club can do to prepare themselves for future seasons. One thing they can do is recruit new figures for the club, which has been seen in recent weeks with reports about the imminent arrival of Jovan Kirovski.

Today, TMW has reported that RedBird are weighing up appointing Damien Comolli as Milan’s new CEO (in place of Giorgio Furlani, who would move into a different role). The Frenchman has been hugely successful with Toulouse in recent years, and RedBird see him as a potential name to lead the club forward in the next few years.

The report credits him as the planter of the seeds at Liverpool that have blossomed to produce what Jurgen Klopp has built today, and this is why RedBird are so intrigued by him. Following his success in France, his next step could be joining the Rossoneri and leading their project in the next few years.
