After the defeat against Torino, Tijjani Reijnders spoke to the media and stated that AC Milan make life very difficult for themselves. Inidivufal mistakes were decisive once again and it’s becoming a real problem for the Rossoneri.
Reijnders scored Milan’s only goal of the game, finding the top corner with a left-footed effort. As it was a 1-1 equaliser, the Rossoneri hoped that it would be the start of a comeback but Torino responded just a few minutes later with the winner.

Speaking to DAZN after the game, as transcribed by MilanNews, Reijnders shared his thoughts on the game and what went wrong for Milan. He echoed what every fan has been saying in the last few weeks: the Rossoneri don’t make life easy for themselves.
It feels like everything that can go wrong, goes wrong for you guys at the moment…
“Yes, at the moment we are making life difficult for ourselves. When you start the match like this you have to come back and equalise. We did so but we gave away a goal straight away. We have to be more mature because otherwise, you complicate your life.”
How is the energy/spirit in the locker room?
“We are trying to be positive, because we still have chances in the league. Now that we are out of the Champions League we are more focused. It is more difficult to stay focused after defeats like this but we must try to build confidence.”
Do you need to be quicker with the ball?
“Yes. If we take too long, it’s easy for the opponent. We have to find the spaces between the lines, because that way we create opportunities. It’s much easier for the opponent to defend if we play slower.”
The Dutchman didn’t have the best of games aside from the goal, missing a big chance and misplacing several passes. He did, however, get a pass in our player ratings (6/10) for the goal and for picking up towards the end.

In the 2nd half, when Leao was replaced by another player, Milan’s game was more dangerous and aggressive. Milan was not lucky but at least there was variation in the attack.
They just can’t play. Defeat after Defeat. Sales, new arrivals, 3 coaches…

The problem i believe is milan’s style (or better, non-style) of play. With pioli, fonseca and now with conciencao it is dull, boring, unattractive, unimaginative and not pleasant to watch. Lots of back passes and horizontal passes, slow build up, very few shots at goal, maignan’s crazy way to start milan forward ….. and of course playing with 10 players when leao is around.
What i also find very worrisome is the way pulisic seems to have switched off since conciencao has been around. This was confirmed by today’s penalty miss. There is something wrong for sure between pulisic and the coach ….. no doubt about that.

Seems bruce lee has influenced the playing philosophy of Sergio: “formless like water” , molded by the container which is our opponents!
The penalty miss was going to happen sooner or later, Pulisic should not be blamed. The other misfiring twats up front have been spared due to their talent for several seasons. Felix and the coach share the same agent, of course there is some bias towards Felix. It’s quite evident. Sergio distorted the way we play and several players have their progress stunted after his arrival. Maybe only pavlovic has improved.
The 2 comeback wins we had over Inter & juve, we didn’t have Felix. I doubt we could have won those games if he was on the pitch.
What we have now is banter era 2.0. they have used “revolution”, “evolution”, the coming season what grammar will capture the new process?
Milan as I said has a major problem at the defence , the kinds of mistakes every game at the back is where the manager needs to address .
