Relevo: ‘No obstacles’ – Atletico Madrid to meet Milan target after Euro 2024

By Ben Dixon -

In the mercato, blocks in the road are to be expected, but according to a report, there will be none from Atletico Madrid as AC Milan look to sign Alvaro Morata.

Unfortunately for Milan, this summer, they are already too familiar with road bumps, and after navigating so many in the pursuit of Joshua Zirkzee, they eventually decided it was time to progress down other routes.

From Bayern Munich’s interest to Kia Joorabchian’s commission, it seemed like a never-ending setback for the Rossoneri’s pursuit, but until recently, there was no reconsideration.

However, now we know that that idea is dead, especially with Manchester United ready to make the move official, and so the Diavolo have looked in other directions or done so with heavier interest, and the player that springs to mind is Alvaro Morata.

Reports in recent days have suggested that a move for the Spanish striker is reaching a pivotal stage, and there is growing confidence about the deal with a medical booked for this week. Today, Milan’s confidence has probably grown further.

As Relevo (via Milan News), a Spanish outlet, reports, Atletico Madrid will have talks with Morata when he returns from the Euros, but they will not block a move for him and will respect his decision. A story that sounds all too familiar to that of Olivier Giroud.

    1. Im pretty sure City would allow him to leave for 10 million loan and 50-55 million obligation the year after. But this management has zero ambition. Olmo would also be a great buy and we probably can get him by dividing the payment to 2-3 years just like Man united did with Zirkzee but again this management is clueless and has no ambition. Even Roma and Juve are spending more than us who didn’t even make a profit in 23/24

      1. City has said they want 70m pounds, 80m euro and he is under contract until 2028. But since you think it would be a good idea for Milan to buy him I’m sure they will gladly sell at your price. 🙄
Plus let’s blow the entire budget on one player. Milan can not buy the same players as those with twice the annual turnover, so stop wishing for those type of signings.

    2. So we’re aiming for big strikers on behest of the coach and you’re bright idea would be to buy an Argentine half ST half SS for 60-70M?
      Genius.

  1. If PSG is after Kravchelia & Osemieh. I would love for us to go for Ramos or after Manu sign Zirkzee & now they are moving for Ivan Toney ask for loan to buy for Rashford who might be out of their plans.

Ramos or Rashford are much better profiles and would be eager to play regularly for a big club.

  2. Can we be factual… Will Rashford put pulisic or leao to bench. Ramos is no difference with jovic… Morata is way ahead than of them. The buy we need to make are not as urgent as we make it look like.
