Relevo: Chelsea striker could head to MLS despite links with Milan return

By Oliver Fisher -

Chelsea striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang could end up securing a move away from the club but to the MLS rather than another club in Europe, a report claims.

It was reported by the Daily Mail earlier in the week that Milan have made an enquiry ahead of the summer about Aubameyang after he was left out of Chelsea’s squad for the knockout stages of the Champions League, along with Atletico Madrid and Barcelona.

According to a report from Relevo however, Aubameyang could end up becoming a team-mate of Giorgio Chiellini at Los Angeles FC with the American club currently in talks with Chelsea given that their transfer window is still open.

Barcelona would have gladly reinstated him in their squad after the departure of Memphis Depay to Atletico Madrid, but LaLiga regulations meant he could not be registered for the second time in the same season by the same team.

The Gabonese striker remained at Stamford Bridge but does not seem to be part of Graham Potter’s plans, and now a new future in the USA could await him.

  1. The problem with Auba is you don’t know which Auba will be showing up. That’s why we got rid of him in the first place. He’s a player that thinks with his heart instead of his head.

    1. Whichever Auba shows up, he’d easily score against Milan, just like he did when we faced Chelsea. Actually he’d be a good signing for us. We need his experience. And he’ll add the academy product slot for the European competition need.

      1. True, maybe it would be a blessing for both us and him in this case, but who knows, all we have as Milan fans at this moment is uncertainty

        1. Yes, it’s kind of win win solution. He’ll certainly get more playing time here. And in the past he straightforwardly stated that he’d like to play again in Milan. But with our condition, he’d more likely go to MLS anyway.
