Relevo: Real Madrid set €8m price tag for midfielder as Milan sense opportunity

By Euan Burns -

Real Madrid have put a price tag of €8m on midfielder Dani Ceballos and AC Milan are considering making a move for the attacker.

According to Relevo (via Fichajes), Los Blancos know that Ceballos is likely to pursue a move away this summer and have already decided how much it would take for them to let him go.

Ceballos stayed at Real Madrid in the summer as he wanted to fight for a place in Carlo Ancelotti’s team, but he has barely been a feature this season and seems to have no future in the Spanish capital.

Moving to Milan would give the 27-year-old a chance to revitalise his career which has never quite gotten off of the ground to the extent that he would like.

He has had various loan moves to teams like Arsenal and Real Betis but has never been able to become a regular starter at Real Madrid.

He certainly has a lot of technical ability and with Milan looking committed to the 4-2-3-1 formation, there is space for someone to challenge Ruben Loftus-Cheek for the central attacking midfield role.

Considering he is under contract until 2027, €8m could end up being great value for money if Ceballos settles in Milan.

    1. RLC is doing ok him on the other hand he doesn’t even play .
Not trusted and for a reason
Plus he is mostly injured in trainings

      1. Its hard to play with all the quality they have in RM. Belingham, Modric, Kross, Valverde… Seems like he missed only 3 games due to injury, other than that he looks fine with his injury record. Havent watched him recently to be honest but back in the days he was an interesting prospect. If he can show half of what i have seen from him when he was younger he will be a good buy for 8mil.

    2. Pure guesswork (it has to be because we’re talking about a player who doesn’t play for us) but I suspect Ceballos is precisely the sort of player who can win titles with Real Madrid but struggle elsewhere.

He has played for Betis and Arsenal and done well, but he strikes me as a player whose become settled at Real, and would struggle to resettle.

It’d be a bit like Bonucci when he came to Milan.

Especially since Spanish players often struggle in Italy (something that reflects worse in Italian football than Spanish football since the latter is far more successful and still produces better football).

      1. What are you smoking? Need some of that.

Neither are free, they still have a year on the contract – and I doubt their team will let them leave for free next year. Either sell them this summer or renew the contract – and they will still cost at least 25-30m+

    1. 10M€ gross. So that’s roughly 5M€ per season. With such figures he’d get the 2nd highest salary in Milan. Achievable.

  1. Skip . ACM need DMF not this ceballos type anymore. Wasting fund also high salary . His performance in arsenal are trash

  2. Even for free I won’t go for him. I’d rather go for a better player for more money rather than piling up deadwood than end up producing nothing good.
