Reliable outlet claims €30m Arsenal star wants Milan move as Rossoneri consider fresh bid

AC Milan have returned to the idea of trying to sign Arsenal midfielder Lucas Torreira this summer, according to a report.

The reliable MilanNews notes how the Rossoneri’s midfield will undergo several changes in the summer, both because Lucas Biglia and Giacomo Bonaventura will leave after the expiry of the contract, but also because Franck Kessie and Lucas Paquetà could leave as they have not convinced.

Milan are attentive to any possibility on the foreign market, and the statements from the agent of Arsenal’s Torreira last week have alerted the club’s hierarchy.

He reiterated the intention of his client to return to Italy, stating: “Lucas had been a little uneasy about some technical differences, then he recovered. I will have to speak to Arsenal. The player would love to return to Italy, but it must be acknowledged that Arsenal treated him very well.”

Milan tried ‘with some insistence’ to sign Torreira last summer, but due to the Gunners’ requests the operation did not go through.

Now that the club is looking for a quality player for the middle of the field, his candidacy is set to become the topic of conversation once again, but Arsenal’s requests will determine the fate of the player – who for his part would be ‘thrilled’ to join Milan.

The north London club invested €30m to buy him from Sampdoria in the summer of 2018.
