After weeks of speculation that it is close to being completed, it seems Olivier Giroud will finally put pen to paper on a new contract as per a report.
According to Corriere dello Sport (via SempreMilan.it) this morning, Milan will announce the renewal of Giroud in the next few hours. The Rossoneri management and the French centre-forward’s entourage have reached an agreement on the basis of a one-year renewal with a salary of €3.5m net.
The handshake has already taken place and now all that is left is to put everything in black and white and for the Frenchman to definitively sign the agreement that will bind him to Milan for yet another season.
Giroud has been a fundamental part of Stefano Pioli’s plans since his arrival, and his contract extension represents a certainty for the attacking department ahead of next season, of which there are not many at present.
