Reports: Origi will join Nottingham Forest on loan which could be made permanent

By Isak Möller -

Divock Origi will leave AC Milan before the end of this transfer window. With just a few hours left, the Rossoneri have reached an agreement with Nottingham Forest over a loan deal.

Milan have secured the arrival of Luka Jovic on a season-long loan from Fiorentina, set to cover his salary, and will send Origi to England with almost the same formula. A small win in the end, as the Serbian earns €2.5m per year and the Belgian earns €4m per year.

According to the likes of Daniele Longo and Gianluca Di Marzio, the deal is done as an agreement has been reached between the two clubs. Fabrizio Romano adds that there should be a buy-out clause included in the deal as well.

Update: MilanNews are reporting that the buy-out clause in the deal is set at €5m. Milan could thus make a capital gain of around €4.5m next summer but above all, they will get his salary off the wage bill for this season.

      1. I really don’t mind having him as a back up. The thing is he’s not even integrated and participated on any pre seasons as we’ve been trying to get rid of him from the very beginning. And now, he has to stay with us. A tricky situation for both club and player in the end.

  1. This literally was the only way he was leaving. Cover his salary on a no fee and no obligation to buy loan.

All in all it’s a win.

  2. Greatest transfer of the entire summer. I mean worldwide in any league. Finally he’s off. And fingers crossed he does OK, enough for Forest to pay the release clause.

  3. Guess we managed to offload about 2/3rds of the players we wanted gone then. Still stuck with Ballo-Toure and Caldara as “unwanted players”. But its not the end of the world. Thats two positions we are a little “light” on, so in case we get injuries on Theo and Tomori/Thiaw they can do as like the 3rd choice for LB and 5th-6th choice for CB.

  4. He is a turd. He is blessed with his opportunity and can’t even be bothered to try hard. That’s bad. People would kill to be in his fortunate shoes. Don’t glorify these ppl..
