Calciomercato.com then reported that the Serbia international’s future is up in the air as his deal technically expires on June 30 of this year, but there in the option for an automatic extension for a further 12 months in favour of the Red Devils.

The report claimed that Milan have been offered the chance to sign the 31-year-old by his agent but have not pursued a deal as of yet due to his salary demands, while he was also proposed to Inter and Juventus.

According to a report from the Daily Express, the former Chelsea midfielder is attracting interest from both Milan clubs who are sniffing around what could be a potential free transfer.

Meanwhile, the Manchester Evening News claim that the Red Devils are looking for an upgrade in defensive midfield and somebody to challenge Scott McTominay, but Declan Rice of West Ham United and Sean Longstaff of Newcastle are not expected to be the targets.
