Report: AC Milan and Inter sent scouts to watch Italy U21 international in action

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and rivals Inter both sent scouts to watch a striker in action for Serie B side Ascoli over the weekend, a report claims.

It was first reported by seriebnews.com that Milan’s chief scout Geoffrey Moncada likes the look of Scamacca, who has 11 goals this season in all competitions on loan at Ascoli from Sassuolo.

Roma have also been linked with the young forward, but Radio Rossonera’s Pietro Balzano Prota stated on deadline day that Milan held talks with the player’s entourage with the view to a summer move.

According to TuttoB, Milan have carried out yet another scouting mission on the 21-year-old forward, as their report states that both the Rossoneri and Inter observers watched him in Friday’s match against Juve Stabia.

They were likely impressed with what they saw too, as the Italy U21 international netted a 10th minute opener for the home side en route to an entertaining 2-2 draw.
