Report: Arsenal, Chelsea and other English clubs on alert as Milan make big call on Szoboszlai

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have told the agent of Dominik Szoboszlai that they no longer want to sign his client this summer, according to one journalist.

The Rossoneri have been repeatedly linked with a move for the 19-year-old over the last few weeks as speculation suggested that Ralf Rangnick – a Red Bull employee – was set to join Milan as the club’s new manager.

Some sources even went so far as to say that terms had been agreed with Szoboszlai who was waiting for Milan to make a decisive lunge to sign him, but the fact Stefano Pioli has signed a new deal instead of Rangnick arriving has thrown everything into doubt.

According to Louis Girardi on Twitter, the Diavolo have in fact already warned the Hungarian’s agent that they no longer want to complete the signing of his client.

Meanwhile, his agent has wasted no time and got in touch with several English clubs, with Arsenal one of them but not the only one, with Calciomercato.com meanwhile reporting that Chelsea are keen.
