Report: Arsenal interested in signing midfielder who is set to leave Milan after six years

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura is attracting interest from Premier League side Arsenal, according to the latest reports from England.

Bonaventura joined Milan back in 2014 but it looks as though his stay at San Siro is set to end after six years, with his deal expiring once the current campaign is over and no sign of an imminent renewal.

A tactically flexible midfielder who offers experience and quality, it has been reportedly recently that there are four Serie A side who are currently in the running to land the 30-year-old, namely Atalanta, Fiorentina, Roma and Lazio.

According to MilanNews though – who cite The Sun – Arsenal have become the latest team to enter the race to land Bonaventura, who would of course be available on a free transfer.

The Gunners have been looking to add depth to their midfield amid doubts over the futures of Dani Ceballos and Milan-linked Lucas Torreira.
