Report: Arsenal, Man Utd on alert as Milan initiate renewal talks with star midfielder

In addition to reinforcing the squad, Milan also need to lock down their key players. Gigio Donnarumma is the first player that comes to mind, but Hakan Calhanoglu’s contract will also expire next summer.

The midfielder has been one of the best players in Serie A this year, becoming a crucial figure for Milan in the attacking phase with many goals and assists. His contract, however, will expire in June next year (2021).

As reported by TodoFichajes, the Rossoneri are yet to reach an agreement for Calhanoglu’s renewal. Given that the No.10 has had contacts with other clubs, such as Arsenal, Man Utd and PSG, this is a bit worrying for Milan.

Of course, they don’t want to lose him for free next summer and it seems the player’s priority is to remain as well. However, they will still need to reach an agreement on the salary, which should be a bit higher than the current €2.5m per year.
