Fode Ballo-Toure is part of Senegal’s squad at the World Cup and AC Milan are hoping that he can regain some confidence. It hasn’t started well for the left-back, sustaining an injury.
The former Monaco man hasn’t played a lot for Milan this season, which is understandable given the qualities of Theo Hernandez. He did score the winner against Empoli, though, and the Rossoneri are hoping for a positive tournament.
However, as per Emedia Senegal, Ballo-Toure didn’t take part in the training session today as he felt discomfort. He will thus miss the opening clash against the Netherlands tomorrow, with the return unknown.
This is especially bad news for Senegal as their other left-back option, Ismail Jabocs, could miss the whole tournament due to administrative reasons. Moussa N’Diaye will most likely be the replacement.
Milan will be hoping for Ballo-Toure to make a switch return as a positive World Cup could increase his value on the market, with the Rossoneri interested in selling.
