Report: Benevento present hefty offer to Bonaventura but deal remains complicated

By Isak Möller -

After six years at the club, Jack Bonaventura is ready to say goodbye to Milan. The midfielder’s contract will expire at the end of the month and won’t be renewed by the club, meaning he will be a free agent.

In recent weeks, several clubs have shown their interest in Bonaventura. This doesn’t exactly come as a surprise considering the midfielder’s experience. Add that to his four goals and six assists this season despite struggling with playing time.

According to the Benevento edition of Il Mattino, as cited by MilanNews.it, Bonaventura has received an offer from the newly-promoted side. The offer is described as a hefty one, but even so, the deal remains complicated for various reasons.

Filippo Inzaghi wants to reunite with the midfielder but as mentioned, other clubs have shown their interest, including Atalanta. It seems Bonaventura would prefer a return to his former club, especially since they will be in the Champions League.
