Report: Bennacer informs Milan of approach from PSG – Man Utd, Man City remain interested

By Oliver Fisher -

Both Manchester City and Manchester United are monitoring the situation surrounding AC Milan midfielder Ismael Bennacer, a report claims.

Bennacer joined from Empoli last summer and has been one of the shining lights in a difficult season for the Rossoneri, earning a spot in the starting XI and never looking back while forming an effective double pivot with Franck Kessie.

According to Compétition in Bennacer’s native Algeria (via SportWitness), Paris Saint-Germain have told Bennacer’s agent that they are ready to make ‘big financial efforts’ to sign the 21-year-old.

Their sporting director Leonardo has apparently put forward an offer of a five-year deal with a ‘fantastic’ salary and Bennacer has told Milan of the approach, though he will not force an exit.

Manchester United and Manchester City are also keen, and the report adds how an offer of €50m could ‘force Milan to think’ – with PSG having already seen a €40m bid rejected.
