Report: Blow for Spurs, Chelsea as PSG consider €30m Milan striker to replace Cavani

By Oliver Fisher -

Paris Saint-Germain are debating the idea of a move for AC Milan striker Krzysztof Piatek should Edinson Cavani leave this month, a report claims.

Nicolo Schira reported on Sunday that Piatek’s agent has offered the striker to Chelsea as a potential replacement for Olivier Giroud.

However, the Gazzetta dello Sport journalist claimed that Spurs want the 24-year-old, and offered an update on Monday confirming that contacts are ongoing between Tottenham and Milan over a potential deal.

Now, the latest reports from Gianluca Di Marzio are claiming that Hertha Berlin have joined the race to land Piatek, but their first offer was unsatisfactory.

According to Fichajes, Piatek is currently in the centre of a transfer battle, with interest from Spurs and Chelsea mentioned.

The report adds that if Atlético Madrid finalise the transfer of Edinson Cavani, Paris Saint-Germain could then launch an official bid to sign the former Genoa man before the window shuts.
