Report: Chelsea hoping to sell defender to Milan for €28m to help fund Haaland move

By Oliver Fisher -

Chelsea could sell defender Fikayo Tomori to AC Milan in order to help fund a move to Erling Haaland, according to a report.

Tomori joined from the Premier League club on loan with an option to buy and was immediately thrust into action after Simon Kjaer’s injury. He came on against Inter in the cup for his debut, and made his first start during Saturday’s 2-1 win over Bologna. He also helped keep a clean sheet in last weekend’s 4-0 win over Crotone.

His first performances have surprised everyone a bit as the Cobham graduate immediately imposed himself, showing his excellent physical and athletic condition.

According to Football London (via Sportsmole), Chelsea may look to sell Tomori in order to help fund a move for Erling Haaland of Dortmund, as well as goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga and centre-back Andreas Christensen

However, the report adds that Real Madrid plan to sell players such as forward Luka Jovic to try and rival Chelsea in the race for Haaland, who will be available for around €75m in summer 2022 due to a release clause in his contract.

    1. Throw away? Have you watched Tomori play? Have to strongly disagree with you on this one. He has been fantastic and even better than Romagnolli who has been off all season IMO. Tomori would be a fantastic signing especially since we lost out on Simakan.
