Report: Door open for Milan and Leicester as Roma hit hurdle in pursuit of €23m Celtic star

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Leicester City may have an advantage over Roma in the race to land Odsonne Edouard of Celtic, according to a report.

Milan were heavily linked with a move for Edouard during the January transfer window, but a number of reports both from Scotland and in Italy claimed that Celtic wanted €30million for his sale.

TMW recently reported how Milan are still keen, but the competition to battle with ahead of the summer has increased as the young Frenchman is attracting interest from a number of different clubs. Among those names by the source were Arsenal, Roma, Aston Villa and above all Leicester City.

According to the Sunday Post (via the Scotsman), Roma fear that they will miss out on the signing of Edouard as they want to pay the £20m (€23m) asking price in instalments, which could open the door for Leicester City or Milan to snatch him.
