Report: Elliott give green light as Rangnick builds five-man €110m wish list to begin overhaul

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s owners Elliott Management Corporation will give Ralf Rangnick a substantial budget so he can sign five players to begin his rebuild.

That is according to a report from il Milanista, who claim that the American fund are willing to grant the German manager €110million to secure five new additions to begin putting his stamp on the squad.

Denzel Dumfries is the first name mentioned, and the PSV Eindhoven right-back wants a move to a big club this summer, with Milan having the advantage of being able to include Ricardo Rodriguez in negotiations for the €15m-rated Dutch international.

The Rossoneri want a new centre-back to partner Alessio Romagnoli and Celtic’s Kristoffer Ajer is the man selected as the ideal reinforcement. He could arrive for €15m due to his contract situation.

Rodrigo De Paul is the third target as Milan look to add quality to their midfielder. The Argentine will leave the Stadio Friuli at the end of the season for around €25million, and Milan can lower the price by inserting some counterparts.

The excellent relationship with Real Madrid could also lead to opportunities, and midfielder Martin Odegaard is the fourth name on the list. After a fantastic season on loan at Real Sociedad he carries a valuation of €25m, and the Norwegian is viewed as an ideal Rangnick player.

Finally we come to Luka Jovic, the club’s number one centre-forward target. The Serbia international could be available for €30m this summer after his €60m arrival from Eintracht Frankfurt last year.
