Christopher Nkunku has ended up at the top of Fenerbahce’s wish list for the attack, according to a report, and more talks will be held with AC Milan in the coming days.

After a very tough first half of the season, Nkunku finally scored his first goals for Milan in the league last weekend, bagging a brace against Sassuolo. However, the transfer rumours haven’t stopped despite this; if anything, they have only been fueled.

About a week ago, the first reports linking the Frenchman with a move to Fenerbahce emerged, and the Turkish side remain the frontrunners in the race. Whether they will be able to reach an agreement with Milan is a different question.

Tedesco wants Nkunku

According to the latest update from the reputable Yagız Sabuncuoglu, Nkunku is the primary target for Fenerbahce’s attack. The Atletico Madrid striker Alexander Sørloth was initially the first choice, but after he demanded a four-year deal worth €12m per year, the Turkish side had to look elsewhere.

The head coach, Domenico Tedesco, put forward a few names in light of Sørloth’s demands and Nkunku (his former player at Leipzig) was at the top of that wish list. Milan have already been sounded out, asking for €35m to sell the Frenchman, but Fenerbache would like to bring that down to €25m.

In the meantime, Milan are also looking for a potential replacement. Talks will continue in the coming days and if an agreement were to be reached, a trip to Milano will be on the cards to finalise the deal. Then again, Nkunku is Tedesco’s first choice.

      1. he will be out of contract in 2027… and made it clear that he doesn’t want to extend. we can also always wait for him until the summer

they spent 40M on Brennen Johnsonn and plan to buy City’s Oscar Bobb which will at least cost 30M

    1. Push for more. We can’t stay with injury prone Leao and Puli, so far at least one of them was healthy. If he goes we need someone coming in. I don’t understand why they can’t cancel Camarda’s loan, he can’t do worse than Nkunku or Gimenez and there is no cups to play midweek.

        1. He’s not getting any service at Lecce. Have you watched them play? I have.

In Milan there’s Leao, Pulisic & Modric to feed the kid.

          1. It’s not about trust. It’s about the lack of ability to create anything. It’s not like the other strikers are getting service either.

    1. A sensible middle point as someone already pointed out is 30M . We take a loss ( it has been a bad deal for us) , but it will be enough to put it towards a defender. Playing once a week, between Rafa, Fulkrug, Puli , Santi (when he comes back) and RLC who seems to found a niche as a Support Striker, should be enough forwards. IMHO, the absence of Gabbia has shed a new light on how thin we are at CB.

      1. Giménez won’t be back before 3 or 4 months, so basically season over for him. Füllkrug is injury prone, while Leão and Pulišić didn’t seem to recover well enough.
So if Nkunku leaves, we will absolutely need another forward, either on loan or permanent transfer.

  1. I do not believe that such a transfer can be realized, especially now in the winter transfer window. There are too many complications. At this price that the turks are offering us, we would be at a loss! Then his rather high salary! I think that even the Turkish league is probably not very challenging for him!

  2. Offloading Nkunku in the winter solves nothing especially with Der Panzer here already. Might as well get behind him and hope he keeps scoring ’till the summer.

  3. If Nkunku leaves for about 30M then they’ll bring in Cherif for 25M to back up Puli. Maybe Rayan instead of Cherif but Rayan is a bigger risk and could be better for summer.

Mateta isn’t likely imo because they would have to change the formation which leads to way too many midfielders and not enough depth up front to play with wingers.

Now if they sell Nkunku + some combo of RLC &/or Fofana and bring in Mateta, Cherif, and Rayan. That could work but that’s a lot of millions to move in 30 days. And the defense would still need to be addressed.
