Report: Fiorentina ponder January move as Milan outcast needs playing time

By Isak Möller -

Just like any other transfer window, Milan will be looking to offload some players that are considered surplus to requirement. Andrea Conti is one of them, having lost his starting spot to Davide Calabria.

The right-back has only amassed 112 minutes of playing time this season, yet to make an appearance in Serie A as well. He returned from a knee injury in October and now has both Calabria and Digoio Dalot ahead of him in the pecking order.

Unsurprisingly, therefore, he could leave Milan in January and there seems to be a few suitors despite his many injury struggles. According to FirenzeViola.it, Fiorentina have set their sights on Conti, eyeing up a January move.

Pol Lirola, their man right-back, has failed to impress and he could leave the club as well in January. With Conti’s agent, Mario Giuffredi, keen on getting his client some playing time, Fiorentina could be the right option for the future.
