Report: Huge boost for AC Milan and Chelsea as Barcelona pull out of winger sweepstakes

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Chelsea have been given a huge boost as Barcelona have reportedly dropped out of the race to land Dinamo Zagreb starlet Dani Olmo.

The Spain international continues to be linked with a move away from the Croatian side as he recently admitted the he feels his time with Dinamo has come to an end as he wishes to take the next step in his career.

A number of Europe’s top sides have been credited with interest: the MEN claimed that Manchester City and Manchester United both want the 21-year-old, while Spanish outlet Sport claimed Chelsea had placed a bid.

Mundo Deportivo believed Barcelona had made an official offer too for Olmo, but the same outlet are now claiming that the Catalan giants no longer consider him to be a target for the January transfer window.

Olmo has eight goals in 20 appearances this season so far which has earned him admirers in Italy too, as Dinamo sporting director Marko Vukelic actually confirmed that their prized asset Olmo is ‘on the list’ of Milan back in November.
