Report: Ibrahimovic agrees deal to return to AC Milan after rejecting Premier League move

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has rejected the chance to return to the Premier League in favour of a reunion with AC Milan, a report claims.

We reported late last month that the Rossoneri have made Ibrahimovic their number one strike target for January, with the team having scored just 13 goals in 14 league games this season.

SportMediaset (via MilanNews.it) recently claimed that Ibrahimovic and Milan are closing on an agreement, while il Corriere della Sera reported that the club want to present Zlatan on December 15 at the club’s 120th birthday party.

Now, according to the reliable Telegraph journalist Mike McGrath, he has agreed a deal in principle with Milan until at least the end of the season.

The report adds that a number of Premier League sides were interested in the 38-year-old Swede, with Manchester United and Spurs having both been linked, the latter after Jose Mourinho’s recent appointment.
